A Tiny Country Scattered with Castles and Chateaux
My next stop after Vienna, Austria was Bratislava, Slovakia. It is a landlocked country located in the center of Europe.
I only ended up spending an afternoon here as it was my transit country going from Austria to Hungary.
I walked through the capital of Bratislava, passing by the famous UFO Bridge, and got to see the Bratislava Castle from afar.
My first impressions were that the city was super clean and surrounded by beautiful nature. Despite it being winter time, I found it funny how there were tons of people lined up to grab an ice cream cone as an afternoon snack.
The downtown area is filled with lots of different shops, cafes, museums, and restaurants. Almost every corner has a statue that each tells its own story. If you like statue hunting, this is definitely something you want to plan to do while visiting.
While waiting for my next train, I enjoyed a stuffed chicken cutlet with ham and cheese at a nice local restaurant. A cup of hot apple cider always hits the spot on a cold afternoon.
The train stations are super easy to get to on foot, but if you are carrying some luggage, I would recommend getting a taxi rather than just walking.
Random thoughts:
Do a quick search on the internet about the holidays of your destination country. Sometimes places shut down as a result or sometimes there are great events that you might want to know about ahead of time.
If you plan on using your debit or credit card abroad, don’t forget to let your bank know and ask them to put a travel alert on your account. This way, you won’t have any issues later on when needing to use your cards.

小さな国土に点在する城とシャトー
オーストリアのウィーンの次に訪れたのは、スロバキアのブラチスラバ。ヨーロッパの中央に位置する内陸国です。
私にとってはオーストリアからハンガリーへの通過国だったので、結局午後だけ滞在しました。
首都ブラチスラバを歩き、有名なUFOブリッジを通り、ブラチスラバ城を遠くから見ることができました。
第一印象としては、街がとても綺麗で、美しい自然に囲まれていることでした。冬にもかかわらず、午後のおやつにアイスクリームを食べる為にたくさんの人が並んでいるのが微笑ましかったです。
ダウンタウンには、さまざまなショップやカフェ、美術館、レストランが沢山あります。町の所々に銅像があり、それぞれが物語を語っています。銅像巡りが好きなら、ぜひとも計画してみるといいでしょう。
次の列車を待つ間、地元のレストランでハムとチーズを詰めたチキンカツを食べました。そして、寒い午後には、ホットアップルサイダーが欠かせません。
鉄道の駅は徒歩でとても簡単に行けますが、ある程度荷物を持っている場合は、徒歩ではなくタクシーを利用することをお勧めします。

旅行先の国の祝日について、インターネットで簡単に検索してみましょう。その国の祝祭日をインターネットで検索してみましょう。その国の祝祭日が閉鎖されることもありますし、事前に知っておくとよいイベントが開催されることもあります。
海外でデビットカードやクレジットカードを使用する予定がある場合は、銀行にその旨を伝え、口座にトラベルアラートを設定してもらうことを忘れずに。そうすれば、後でカードを使う必要が生じたときに、何の問題も生じません。

一个散布着城堡和酒庄的小国家
奥地利的维也纳之后，我的下一站是斯洛伐克的布拉迪斯拉发。它是一个位于欧洲中心的内陆国家。
我在这里只呆了一个下午，因为它是我从奥地利到匈牙利的过境国。
我走过首都布拉迪斯拉发，路过著名的飞碟桥，并远远地看到了布拉迪斯拉发城堡。
我的第一印象是，这个城市超级干净，被美丽的大自然所环绕。尽管现在是冬天，但我觉得很有趣，有很多人排着队去吃冰淇淋甜筒作为下午的点心。
市中心地区充满了许多不同的商店、咖啡馆、博物馆和餐馆。几乎每个角落都有一个雕像，它们各自讲述着自己的故事。如果你喜欢搜寻雕像，这绝对是你在访问时要计划做的事情。
在等待下一班火车的时候，我在当地一家不错的餐馆享用了火腿和奶酪馅的鸡排。在一个寒冷的下午，一杯热苹果酒总能让人感觉很舒服。
火车站步行前往超级方便，但如果你携带一些行李，我建议你打车，而不是直接步行。

在互联网上快速搜索一下你目的地国家的假期。有时有些地方会因此而关闭，或者有时会有一些大型的活动，你可能想提前了解一下。
如果你计划在国外使用你的借记卡或信用卡，不要忘记让你的银行知道，并要求他们在你的账户上设置一个旅行警报。这样，你以后在需要使用你的卡时就不会有任何问题。
